Quiet times
It’s been quiet here since Beth left. Not much has really happened except going back to work and being pretty busy getting caught up with things there..
I finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, which was pretty good - and have now started on Pandora’s Star. I’m currently halfway through that and wow - it’s awesome so far. Hamilton is brilliant.
Thanks to links from Penny Arcade, I’ve started reading a couple of new web comics which are pretty cool - VG Cats, Scarygoround, Spells and Whistles and Copper. I’m especially fond of Copper.
The UK Big Brother awards looked like a lot of fun - shame I missed that.
My new watch continues to be a talking point :p It’s fun seeing if people can work out how to read it. Some people seem overly concerned about it not being very practical, which is amusing because at any one time I generally have 4-6 different items about my person capable of telling the time. Why can’t the one on my wrist be fun? :) Maybe soon I’ll be brave enought to take the back off it - I’m considering the idea of hacking it to display scrolling text eventually :p
My Dad took me out for a nice meal for my birthday, and gave me some vouchers for the Royal Festival Hall - so I guess pretty soon we’ll be using those to go get some culture :)
Thanks to her evil comment, lilyj has got me pondering a Scott E-Vest. I’ve avoided the temptation for so long but their latest V3 vest is the next logical step from my current solution (it has more pockets and hides them better). Damn you lilyj!
