Back from NotCon ‘04
Back from NotCon, and it was a blast. Best moments for me were Danny O’Brien’s Life Hacks, Brewster Kayle’s talk about the internet archive (and their ultimate goal - universal information access) and the two panel discussions on the politics of the net and digital copyrights starring a bunch of folk, including the usual excellent contribution from Cory Doctorow - always a pleasure to hear him speak so eloquently, entertainingly and insightfully about such complex but important issues.
What was really amusing was watching Cory, 2 minutes before his own panel session started, sitting in the audience of Danny’s talk and blogging it :p
We ran into cdavies at NotCon too, which was cool - this was actually the first time I’ve met him in person.
